- Please note that there is no dodgeball on the following dates:
- September 20, October 11, November 1, December 13
- Playoffs are scheduled for December 18th @ 12:30 – 3:30 pm
- All players must sign the waiver (here) to play
September 22 Update:
- BOSS Dodgeball and Bob Niven Training Centre will be participating in Alberta’s Restrictions Exemption Program. All players are required to have signed the waiver, and will need to provide the following at the doors:
- A valid piece of government ID
- Vaccination record, A negative COVID-19 test result, or a Medical Exemption Letter (must be an original).
- Two vaccinations are required by Week 4
- A reminder that all players must self-isolate and get tested if they exhibit even minor symptoms prior to participating in dodgeball (see more details below).
League night COVID Protocols:
- 7:00 pm time slot:
- Gym doors will open at 6:45 pm for set up and warm-ups
- Games will start at 7:00 pm sharp
- Games will end at 8:00 pm and players must exit the gym by 8:15 pm
- 8:30 pm time slot:
- Players may enter the gym no earlier than 8:15 pm for warm-ups
- Games will start at 8:30 sharp
- Games will end at 9:30 and players must exit the gym by 9:45 pm
- Warm-up balls will not be provided – please bring your own! They will be available for sale – see an exec for more details.
General Precautions for all players:
- A sanitizing station will be set up at the entrance. Please sanitize your hands before and after leaving the gym.
- No unnecessary touching is permitted
- No high fives, fist bumps, handshakes, hugs, or any sort of touching is permitted
- Teams will bow, dance, air high five, etc to each other at the end of each game in lieu of high fives. Teams will not be switching sides in between games.
- No visitors or spectators are permitted.
- Any person experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 must remain at home and is not permitted to attend dodgeball for 14 days from the start of the symptoms, or until they are gone, whichever is longer, or until tested negative.
- AHS has recognized the following as possible symptoms of COVID-19 (even if mild):
- cough
- fever
- shortness of breath
- runny nose
- sore throat
- loss of taste or smell
- Stuffy nose
- Painful swallowing
- Chills
- Headache
- Muscle or joint aches
- Feeling unwell or fatigue
- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or unexplained loss of appetite
- Conjunctivitis, also known as pink eyes
- In addition, the following individuals are not permitted to participate:
- Any individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the 10 days prior to the night
- Any individual who has experienced COVID-19 symptoms in the 14 days prior to the night
- Any individual who shares a living space with a person who has been COVID-19 positive in the 10 days prior to the night
- Players are encouraged to maintain social distance (3 feet) when not engaged in play.
- Players are encouraged to wear a face covering when not engaged in play.
- Game balls will not be sanitized between individual games; they will be sanitized and/or switched out between the time slots.
